Set out from Loen and drive to Hellesylt, where you’ll board the ferry for a spectacular cruise through the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord. Towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls and tiny mountain farms clinging to the slopes make this one of Norway’s most unforgettable journeys. Arriving in Geiranger, continue by car up the famous Eagle’s Road (Ørneveien), a series of dramatic hairpin bends offering breathtaking views back across the fjord. If you leave Loen just after breakfast you will arrive in Ålesund with time for lunch in the town before heading out to the airport where you will leave the car before your return flight home, via Oslo.
